About Me

Morgan Darian is a creative writing major and Sigma Tau Delta scholar, finishing up a degree at California State University, Northridge. She was Editor-In-Chief for Northridge Review last semester, and looks to pursue a career in publishing. In 2023, Morgan started her own Literary Magazine, Valley by Valley, focusing on voices and art that strive to help us humans feel not so alone. When she’s not reading or writing, Morgan works as a waitress, refilling coffee, serving up over-medium eggs, and dreaming of a day when she can work in a cubicle.

Short Bio

I am becoming. I’m trying and failing, but I’m trying. I’m leaving dirt at the door. I’m letting my demons whisper. I’m excavating my insides and wrapping them as presents. I’m wondering, will they get me? am I alone? do I honor my muses? I’ve had many titles: waitress, production assistant, actress, boxer, editor, singer, athlete, office assistant, dancer. But mostly waitress. And this waitress was tired, so she picked up some words alongside that weathered black tray. She was holding a check pad and a pen and she started to dream.
